The Coudersport Rotary Club Thanks David Hauber

David Hauber presented a slide program on birding at the Coudersport Rotary Club meeting held January 12, 2026, at A&W West End Grill.
Hauber spoke about the Potter County Bird Club, which meets monthly at the Coudersport Library and has documented 250 of the 350 bird species recorded in Pennsylvania. He highlighted the return of Bald Eagles, now with five nests in Potter County, an Osprey nest near the Chestnut Street Bridge, and sightings of Golden Eagles.
Hauber also discussed bird banding efforts, including monitoring Saw-whet Owls, the smallest owl in the eastern United States, noting that locally banded birds have been tracked as far away as Cuba and Nova Scotia.
The Coudersport Rotary Club thanks David Hauber for his informative and visually engaging presentation.
