Terril (Terri) Anne Doan Marks, age 75, of Nelson, PA passed peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Carleton Nursing Home in Wellsboro.

Her best friend and a former personal care aide were at her side. Terri, daughter and only child of Loren Doan and Alice (Close) Doan, was born on June 29, 1947 in Wellsboro, PA.

Terri worked as a Counselor at Endless Mountains D&A Rehabilitation in Blossburg, PA for many years. She ventured into the Media business that she enjoyed very much as an advertising sales representative for a few local television & radio stations in the area. Her most recent employment was with the Tioga Publishing Company in Wellsboro, PA.

Terri was well known through her personal life, places of employment and travels. Her personality and gift of being able to communicate with most anyone earned her love, trust and respect from whomever she was in contact with. Terri’s passions included riding her beloved horse, Baby, attending and competing in horse shows, watching car races at Watkins Glen, traveling, flower gardening, feeding & identifying birds and helping animals in need of rescue.

Oh yes, and she surely loved the taste of a fine cooked meal followed later with a dish of ice cream. Terri will be lovingly remembered through our memories of the relationship she shared with each of us.

A special “Thank You” to her caregivers who were so dedicated in providing her the care needed throughout the years at home and at the Carleton.

Terri is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Enderle (Mark) Rado of Monroe, OH, her stepchildren Steven Marks of Farmington, NJ, Dianne Marks of Farmington, NJ, and Isabelle (Kenneth) Mosca) of Ventnor, NJ., her grandchildren, Isabelle & Kyle Mosca of Ventnor, NJ. and Aunts & Uncles Esther (Doan) & Waldo Wood of Knoxville, PA, Barbara (Doan) & Gerome Learn of Cameron Mills, NY and, Mary Jane (Doan)McGlaughlin of Painted Post, NY plus several cousins on the Doan side of her family.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, LaQuay Marks; Parents, Loren & Alice Doan; Grandparents, Henry, Doris & Gertrude Doan, Emma Close; Great Grandparents, Bert & Goldie Rowley; Aunt, Mary Ann (Close)Timm and Uncles, Frank Timm, Rex McGlaughlin and Dean Doan.

Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main Street, Elkland, PA on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 12:00 PM – 2:00PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will be also held at the Nelson Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside LaQuay.
