If anyone thought people didn’t care … some 60 people showed up at a meeting at the Hilltop firehall to make a last-ditch effort to keep the deep injection well away from the town — and their water — which contains numerous unplugged wells from decades of oil drilling.Cindy Johnson, one of the leaders of the group opposed to a fracking waste well in Cyclone, gives some advice Saturday on how to properly appeal a decision by the state Department of Environmental Protection to issue a permit for the well located not far from residents’ homes.
