Special Olympics Pennsylvania, McKean County are holding their 2^nd annual Spark Run 5K on September 9, 2023. 

Once again the Start/Finish Line is at Zippo Headquarters, 33 Barbour St, Bradford.  The run/walk route will travel out to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and back. 

Registration begins at 9:00 AM, the race starts at 10:00 AM. Adults are $25, Students $10, Special Olympic Athletes and (1) buddy FREE.

All proceeds from this race support Special Olympic Athletes and volunteers.  McKean County has expanded their sporting opportunities this last year with youth soccer and youth basketball.  “We would like to offer more programs in every area of our county not just for athletes located in close proximity to Bradford.” Says Marie Costello, Director of Development for The Wilds Region.  “To be able to offer more (programs) we need to raise funds for equipment, uniforms, clearances, rental fees etc..  There will never be a cost to the athletes for any of our programs or services, so we need the community’s support.”
