Program Title: Pollinators: Honeybee Edition
Date: Saturday, August 31st
Time: 2:00 – 3:30 PM
Location: Pavilion 4
Description: Guest speaker, Robert Hoppe, will be here presenting information on honeybees and how he makes his very own honeybee products! He will be bringing some bees and beehives so the audience can see them up close. Stop by to learn about the importance and role these insects play in both our local surroundings and economy!

Program Title: Survival Skills
Date: Saturday, August 31st
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Join state park volunteer, Steve Bajor, as he tells us what to do if you were to get lost in the forest. We will go over camping, fire, and emergency safety along with how to start a fire in the middle of the wilderness. Feel free to bring snacks and a blanket!

Program Title: Stream Study
Date: Sunday, September 1st
Time: 1:00 – 2:30 PM
Location: Near Pavilion 3
Description: Join the park educator to look for macroinvertebrates, like stoneflies and crayfish, in the stream, along with learning their importance. A short talk followed by exploring the stream – expect to get wet so bring along water shoes, swimsuits, and a towel!

Program Title: Sizerville’s Splish Splash Bash
Date: Monday, September 2nd
Time: 11:00 AM
Location: Pool Deck
Description: Join the park educator and the lifeguard team for a fun, water-themed program since this is the closing day for the pool. Stop by to test your fishing skills and learn something about our local aquatic critters. Come join us as we close the 2024 pool season!
