Program Title: Sizerville’s Splish Splash Bash
Date: Saturday, May 25th
Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Pool Deck
Description: Join the lifeguard team and the park educator for a fun, water-themed program to celebrate the opening day for the pool! We will be talking about watersheds and their importance, along with seeing some aquatic critters up close. Come join us as we open up the summer 2024 pool season!

Program Title: Backyard Bird Banding
Date: Sunday, May 26th
Time: 8:30 – 10:00 AM
Location: Near Maintenance DivisionDescription: Join state park volunteers and experienced bird banders, David and Fay Hauber, as they attempt to band common songbirds right here in Sizerville State Park! We will have a short introduction on birds followed by instructions on what to do and expect during the demonstration. Closed toe shoes and long pants are recommended due to the program taking place in high grass/shrub areas. Feel free to bring a water bottle, bug spray, and binoculars.

Program Title: Flag Craftivity
Date: Sunday, May 26th
Time: 1:00 – 2:00 PM
Location: Environmental Learning Center
Description: Stop by the Environmental Learning Center and join the park educator to make and take your own American flag craft, along with learning some historical facts and information about Memorial Day.

Program Title: Stream Study
Date: Monday, May 27th
Time: 1:00 – 2:30 PM
Location: NearPavilion 3
Description: Join the park educator to look for macroinvertebrates, like stoneflies and crayfish, in the stream, along with learning their importance. Short talk followed by exploring the stream – expect to get wet so bring along water shoes, swimsuits, and a towel!

In case of thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions programs may be moved or cancelled.
