Sheila E. Lingle, 71, of Carpenter Creek Rd., Eldred, PA passed away on Monday (August 7^th, 2023) at her home, surrounded by her family. 

Born November 17^th, 1951 in Davenport, Iowa she was a daughter of Francis and Rosemary Lane O’brien.  She was married to Bruce W. Lingle for 53 years. 

Mrs. Lingle had grown up in Iowa prior to moving to the Eldred area.  She had been employed in many different jobs throughout her life but especially enjoyed her work as a school librarian at Perry Elementary School. 

Sheila enjoyed walks, drives and telling ghost stories and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.   

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Bruce (Jennifer) Lingle Jr. of York, and Matthew Lingle of Eldred; two daughters, Rosemary Bates of Pottstown and Jennifer (Scott) Cornelius of York; ten grandchildren, Zackery Lingle, Joseph (Michael Bleicher) Johannsen, Justin Lingle, Donavyn Lingle, Dylan (Lacey) Ehrlinger, Jenna (Benjamin) Swope, Jazmine (Danny) Panzarella, Jaziah Bates and Taylor Cornelius; as well as seven great grandchildren, one brother, Timothy O’brien and one brother in law, Danny (Doris) Lingle.  She is also survived by her two adopted daughters, Vickie Denger and Donayle “Little Nel” Dodge. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and a grandchild, Cory Ehrlinger on August 1^st, 2014. 

The family is to hold a private memorial service at the family residence at their convenience.
