SECOND ANNUAL BROADWAY UNDER THE STARS FUNDRAISER CONCERT IS THIS SATURDAY, AUG 12
At 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 12, more than 30 area talented singers and dancers are bringing the magic of 16 Broadway hits to the Stony Fork Creek Campground stage at 658 Stony Fork Creek Road, Wellsboro for the Second Annual Broadway Under the Stars Fundraiser Concert for Hamilton-Gibson Productions.
This fun, family-friendly show will open with Ramon Duterte and an ensemble of singers performing “This is Me” from “The Greatest Showman.”
Three soloists, Justin Gordon, June Roth, and Emily Weber and a children’s ensemble of singers among them Milo, Oliver and Sylvia Duterte, will perform “Seize The Day” from “Newsies” and singers Karin Knaus, Jennifer Roth, Matt Huels, Ian Brennan, Emily Kreider and an ensemble of singers, “You Can’t Stop The Beat” from “Hairspray.” Doing the dancing for both numbers will be members of the First Position Dance Studio including Willow Repard, Layla Zay, Katie Kuhl, Gracie Worthington, Mea Bartlett, Molly Crane, Aleah Logan, June Roth, Molly Tice, and Eva Wheatley.
First Position Dance Studio Alumni Dancers Olivia DiMarco and Taylor Nickerson, Rachel Davis and Emily Kies will perform “Big Spender” from “Sweet Charity” with singer Anne Acker.
Kacy Hagan and the children’s ensemble will sing “Do Re Mi” from “The Sound of Music;” Marie Andrews, “When You’re Good to Mama” from “Chicago;” Anna Guillaume, “In My Own Little Corner” from “Cinderella;” Tim Wilbourn, “I’ll Be There” from “The Pirate Queen;” Thomas Putnam, “My Cup Runneth Over” from “I Do I Do;” and Maddy Hulslander, Michelle Smith and others, “Seasons of Love” from “Rent.”
Other hits being performed are “For Good” from “Wicked,” “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin,” “Dear Theodosia” from “Hamilton, and “The Proposal / The Night Was Alive” from “Titanic.”
The dancers and singers come from Lawrenceville, Liberty, Mansfield, Morris, Wellsboro and Westfield.
Bring lawn chairs and cash for raffles. Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the event.
A discounted family ticket for $35 can only be purchased online in advance at https://hgp.booktix.net. Discounted family tickets will not be available for purchase at the campground the day of the concert.
Tickets for adults ages 19 and up are $16 and $8 for students, 18 and under.
