Cuba Police Department

On Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 at approximately 6:00 AM, members of the Cuba Police Department with the assistance of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on State Route 305 in the Town of Cuba.

The search warrant was a result of a culmination of complaints from the citizens of Cuba and information from tips as well as police operations. Cuba Police entered the residence on State Route 305 and seized cash, fentanyl, over 50 LBS of marijuana, firearms and other dangerous weapons as well as several other items of narcotic paraphernalia.

The following arrest was made in relation to this search warrant:

George R. Brown (40) of Cuba was arrested on charges of criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd (2 counts, Misdemeanors), criminal possession of a weapon 3rd (Felony), criminal possession of cannabis 1st (Felony) and criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd with intent to sell (Felony). Brown was processed, placed in front of a Cuba Town Judge and sent to the Allegany County Jail on $10,000.00 bail.
