Sarah Elizabeth Dush Plyler Wonderling, 94, of Ridgway, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Elk Haven Nursing Home.

She was born on March 16, 1930, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Lester and Anna Mae Hadden Dush.

In 1949, she married the late Samuel Plyler Sr., who preceded her in death in 1966, and had 3 children: Samuel Plyler Jr. and his wife Carol, Elizabeth Libby McKinny and her husband Michael, and Paul Plyler and his wife Barb.

In June of 1968, she married the late Gerald Wonderling, and had a daughter, Peggy (Buck) Oliver.

In addition to her children, she is survived by 7 grandchildren; Mikie Plyler, Hannah Tennant, Missy Simon Yates, Brian (Amy) Plyler, Betsy Addo, and Carla Schooley, 10 great grandchildren: Jordan, Austin, Takota, Brayden, Logan, Ana, Lennox, Landon, Payton, and Michael, and many nieces and nephews.

Sarah was the last member of her immediate family. Sarah worked many years at IPM and at Elk Regional Hospital.

Funeral Services for Sarah E. Wonderling will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA, 15853.

Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday at Krise Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
