Route 15 High Friction Surface Treatment Project Begins Next Week in Lycoming County
Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a high friction surface treatment project on Route 15 in both directions in Lewis and Loyalsock townships, Lycoming County is set to begin next week.
Beginning Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the contractor, Venture Construction, along with sub-contractors, will apply a high friction wearing surface treatment on Route 15 northbound and southbound at the following locations:
- Route 15 northbound in the area of Powey’s curve, approximately 3.5 miles south of the Trout Run off ramp to Route 14, in Lewis Township, Lycoming County.
- Route 15 southbound from approximately one mile north to one mile south of the Trout Run off ramp to Route 14 in Lewis Township, Lycoming County.
Work will be performed weekdays between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, weather permitting. Traffic control for this project will include daylight short term lane closures and alternating traffic patterns.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel and drive with caution in the area.
Venture Construction is the prime contractor for this $466,923.66 high friction surface treatment project. Work includes application of a high friction surface treatment on both driving and passing lanes and new traffic line paint. Work on this project is expected to be completed by late October 2024.
