Route 14 Bridge Replacement Project Continues in Trout Run, Lycoming County

REMINDER: Route 14 detour to take effect next week in Trout Run, Lycoming County.
Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised a bridge replacement project continues on Route 14 in Trout Run, Lycoming County.
Between Monday, October 13, 2025 and Friday, October 27, 2025, Route 14 will be closed between the Route 15 north exit ramp (Exit 148) and Trout Run Mountain Road (Route 1002) in Lewis Township, while the contractor, Rylind Construction Company, Inc., begins construction of the bridge approaches and the removal of the temporary connector and traffic signals.
The following detours will be in place through October 27.
- Route 14 south to Route 15 north: Lycoming Creek Road (Route 1017) south, Route 15 north.
- Route 14 south to Route 15 south: Lycoming Creek Road south, Beautys Run Road (Route 3026), and Route 15 south.
- Route 15 south to Route 14 north: Route 973 (Exit 143), Lycoming Creek Road north, and Route 14 north.
- Route 15 north to Route 14 north: Beautys Run Road, Lycoming Creek Road north, and Route 14 north.
Rylind Construction Company, Inc., is the prime contractor on this $3.3 million, bridge replacement and stream restoration project. In August 2024, the Route 14 bridge spanning Trout Run was damaged beyond repair. A temporary roadway connecting Route 14 with Lycoming Creek Road was designed, constructed, and opened to traffic within a month of the flooding. Construction of the bridge replacement began in April 2025 and included excavation, removal of the damaged bridge remains, construction of the new bridge, approach work, removal of the temporary connection, and stream restoration. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in November 2025, weather permitting.
