Robert M. Lynch, 65, of Wellsville, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025, surrounded by his family at Jones Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born November 2, 1959, in Wellsville, the son of the late George M. and Betty Jean (Barnes) Lynch. 

Rob was raised in Wellsville, graduating from Wellsville High School in 1978. He continued his education at Alfred State Vocational Technological College in Wellsville, for plumbing. He was previously employed by Harris Supply, John Moore Plumbing of Houston, TX, and for many years as a plumber in Connecticut. He had returned to Wellsville, residing for the last ten years. Outside of his employment he was a life member of the Wellsville Elks Lodge 1485, Sons of the American Legion Squadron No. 702, and was an associate member of the Wellsville VFW. In his youth he enjoyed hunting. 

He is survived by: siblings, Rose Mary Bennett, Terry (Reita) Lynch, Doug (Judy) Lynch, Monica Lynch, Jeanine (Art) Newman, and Mary (Mike) Fisk; step-son, Adam Sutton; former wife, Nancy Stokes; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by: a son, Sean Lynch; and a sister Eileen Kane. 

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6 – 8 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home of Wellsville, 34 West State. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville, 36 Maple Avenue.
