Rita A. Kaylor, 85, of Route 446, Eldred, PA
Eldred – Rita A. Kaylor, 85, of Route 446, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Olean General Hospital.
Born on February 19, 1938, in Austin, PA, she was the daughter of George and Alvina Kornacki Lininger. In 1963, she married Theodore Elliott, who predeceased her in 1994. In 2002, she married Tim Kaylor, who survives.
Rita had been employed as a head cashier by Hills Department store in Olean for twelve years.
Rita enjoyed gardening, especially growing strawberries and a variety of flowers, but mostly spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 21 years, are four daughters, Patricia Solomon of Huntingdon, PA; Jane (Helio) Lininger Nogueira of Tonawanda, NY; Darlene Elliott of Euharlee, GA and Teresa (Paul) Elliott-Wilson of Dallas, GA, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Fred Lininger of Palatka, FL and Tom Lininger of Mt. Jewett, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Lininger and Kenneth Lininger; three sisters, Marie Williams, Clara Jean Bornheimer and Dorothy Holsopple; a grandson, Alvin P. Van Horn and three stepsons, Tim Kaylor, Chaz Kaylor and Keith Kaylor.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred PA, from 11 am to 1 pm, at which time a memorial service will be held. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
