Ricky Allen Rounsville, 69, of Tree Line Drive, Smethport, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born May 21, 1956, in Olean, N.Y., he was the son of the late H. Edward and Arlena (Canfield) Rounsville. On April 13, 1974, in Farmers Valley, he married Tammy Hills, who preceded him in death in 2023.

A lifelong resident of the area, Rick enjoyed gardening, canning with his sister and daughter, hunting and spending time in the garage with his sons, and spending time outdoors with his dog, Cane. He loved being with his children, grandchildren, and lifelong friends. Rick worked many years as an equipment operator.

Surviving are a daughter, Tara Rounsville of Rixford; two sons, Heath (Laura) Rounsville of Bridgeville and Levi (Kelcey) Rounsville of Pittsburgh; one sister, Edwina (Bob) Freer; a sister-in-law, Susan Rounsville; and four grandchildren: Korden Rounsville, Elijah Hancock, Ryleigh Hancock and Boden Rounsville. Along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Rounsville; a sister and brother-in-law, Francis and Lawrence Cochran; a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Kenneth Shelley; and his father-in-law, Norman Hills.

There will be no visitation. Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
