The Bradford Businessmen’s Chess League kicked off their 33rd annual event with a Quick Chess Championship in the School Street Elementary Cafeteria on Wednesday, November 1.  

The Junior Varsity was divided into two sections: JV-1 and JV-2. Bob & Ryan Ferguson served as tournament directors for JV-1, while Ron Buchheit and Jessica Kramer organized and directed JV-2.  

First through third place were awarded to both sections. In JV-1, first place was awarded to Juliana Bysiek. Second place honors were earned by Micaiah “Ki” Ferguson, and Sylvia Bysiek captured third place. In JV-2, top honors went to Sean Kramer. Roman Haynes won second place, and Aidan Kramer took third place.  

The Bradford Businessmen’s Chess League will begin matches against other Bradford businesses next Wednesday, November 8.
