Those who preregister for the Laurel Festival 10K Foot Race by Friday, May 30 and pay the $25 entry fee will receive a free event T-shirt courtesy of First Citizens Community Bank on race day, Saturday, June 21 and be entered in the June 21 “Early Bird Drawing” with a chance to win $25 in Wellsboro Chamber Dollars to spend at any of the 42 participating area businesses. 

The Laurel Festival 10K Foot Race will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, followed by the two-mile Fun Run/Walk at 9:05 a.m. 

Registration, check-in and packet pickup will be at Packer Park on Queen Street in Wellsboro from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on race day. The entry fee for the 10K is $25 and for the Fun Run is $5. Race day registrants pay in cash or by check. 

The 10K’s challenging 6.2-mile course has rolling hills, paved and dirt surfaces, and exciting Pennsylvania Grand Canyon country views. 

Timing will be by Insta-Results. The Tioga County Amateur Radio Club will handle communications.  

Medals, certificates and other prizes will be presented to 10K male and female runners who finish in the top three overall; finish first, second or third in each age category (19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over) and to 

the oldest and youngest runners who cross the finish line in the fastest time.

Each Fun Run participant will receive a commemorative ribbon. The Fun Run first place female finisher and first place male finisher will each receive medals. 

C&N and Weis Markets are providing free post-race refreshments for all participants.
