WELCOME MRS. PAULA NEWELL

At the regular board meeting held this evening the PASD Board of Directors hired Mrs. Paula Newell to serve as the district superintendent beginning July 1, 2024.

Mrs. Newell currently serves as the Director of Teaching and Learning at Valdez City Schools (Alaska). She has additional experience as a site administrator at the Lower Kuskokwim School District (Alaska), and served as a principal at the Vienna (Austria) International School and American School of Durango (Mexico).

Paula was a technology teacher at Kerrville ISD (Texas), a school counselor at the Bandung Alliance International School (Indonesia), and has additional teaching experience as a technology teacher at Evangel Heights Academy (Pennsylvania).

She and her husband Steven have four children.
