Phyllis A. Evans, 81, of Painted Post, NY, passed away on April 14, 2025 at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation, Corning, NY. Born August 13, 1943 in Corning, she was a daughter of the late George and Mildred (Johnson) Evans.

She was a graduate of Northside High School in Corning and went on to work at Phillips Lighting in Bath, NY. Phyllis loved quilting, crocheting and sewing.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa (Mark) Kline, Corning; a granddaughter, Kayla (Alan Thomas) Kline, Corning; a grandson, Matthew (April Pratt) Kline, Corning; a great granddaughter, Peighton Thomas; a sister, Sylvette Youmans; and one nephew.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Liver Foundation. Arrangements and the cremation are under the care of Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Galeton, PA.
