Penn College basketball teams have 1-3 week
Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s basketball teams went a combined 1-3 over the past week.
Men’s Basketball
On the road at Penn State Brandywine on Wednesday, Penn College dropped an 83-73 United East decision. Livingston Cross of Union, New Jersey, led the Wildcats with 21 points and 10 rebounds, his 15th double-double of the season.
At Gallaudet University on Saturday, Penn College got back on the winning track after two losses with a 66-60 UE victory. Cross again led the way with a 20-point, 12-rebound effort, his 16th double-double.

Women’s Basketball
At Lancaster Bible College on Wednesday, the Wildcats saw their second five-game UE win streak of the season end with a 63-58 loss as the teams split their season series. Trailing by 16 points in the third quarter, Penn College battled back to tie the score at 49-all in the fourth before being outscored 14-9 the rest of the way. Gigi Parlante of Williamsport led the ‘Cats with 17 points and Lexi Troup of Huntingdon scored 16.
On Saturday at Gallaudet University, Penn College’s offense couldn’t get untracked in a 54-45 UE loss. Rachel Teats of Middleburg and Troup both scored 13 points, and Parlante had a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.

Wrestling
Sophomore Nick Woodruff of Wyalusing, a 197-pounder, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Wrestler of the Week for Jan. 12-18. Woodruff extended his winning streak to six matches and an undefeated dual record after a 3-0 weekend at the NY-PA Challenge hosted by New York University on Jan. 18. Woodruff owns a 15-4 record with six pins, five technical falls and one major decision this season.
