Last week in review: After early-week nonconference losses, the Wildcat basketball teams returned to action on Saturday in their first of 12 regular-season-ending United East Conference games.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Last week’s hometown highlights: Octavio Alexander, of Dallas, Texas, scored 11 points, and Josh Shepherd, of Breinigsville, tallied 10 in Monday’s loss to Eastern Connecticut State in the first round of the Eastern Holiday Invitational.

In Tuesday’s consolation game of the Eastern Holiday Invitational against No. 23 Wesleyan University, for the second consecutive game, Alexander scored 11 points, and Shepherd added 10 points in the loss.

On Saturday at Notre Dame (Md.) University, Alexander poured in 24 points as the team experienced its second six-game losing streak of the season.

In UEC action on Saturday at Notre Dame (Md.) University, Parlante scored 23 points and RaeAnna Andreas, of Berwick, added 10 as the Wildcats dropped their fourth game in a row.
