Patrick J. Cronmiller, of Youngsville, PA
Patrick J. Cronmiller, of Youngsville, PA, who turned 80 on Saturday, February 10, 2024, died peacefully, Sunday, February 11, 2024, at John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home, Warren, PA., after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born February 10, 1944, in Erie, PA. Pat was the son of John L. and Mary Farr Cronmiller. He was a lifelong Warren area resident and has resided in Youngsville, PA. for the past 22 years.
He grew up in Sheffield, PA. Pat was a graduate of Sheffield High School, where he was a member of the All-Star Football Team as the team captain. He graduated from Edinboro State Teachers College and earned his master’s degree from St. Bonaventure University.
He started his teaching career with the Warren County School District, teaching 5th grade at the former North Warren Elementary School and was an administrator and teacher with the former Scandia Elementary School. He had served as principal at every High School in the school district. He retired as Principal at the Warren County Career Center.
When Pat was raising his family, he served as coach of the boys Little League Baseball team and Basketball Team. His son, Mike, remembers his dad as a person who let his kids be themselves, and mentored them to be the people they are today. He enjoyed ice fishing, canoeing, camping, and traveling. Pat and his wife, Susan enjoyed a ten-month trip in their 5th wheeler, traveling across the United States.
Pat and Susan made a stop in Apache Junction, Arizona where they met a nun who was a teacher at the Apache Indian Reservation, where Pat and Susan met two little girls, whom they were able to take on their journey, stopping off in Texas to the Space Center. The girls remarked at the passing of Pat, that he was instrumental in their development of having a broader mind to new experiences and influenced their lives to always strive to do better in life. Pat enjoyed traveling to Kenya, Africa, Italy where he loved the Vatican experience. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with Susan. Pat loved Christmas and playing the part of Santa, enjoyed Easter, and hiding Easter eggs for his grandchildren. He took great pride in his home, doing yard work. He especially liked being on time.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, former member of St. Joseph and St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Churches. He was a member of St. Luke’s Knights of Columbus, Youngsville, PA.
His greatest joy in life was being able to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. He deeply loved his children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Pat is survived by his wife of 32 years, Susan A. Muczynski Cronmiller whom he married July 5, 1991, in Sheffield, PA., 7 children – Michael P. Cronmiller and wife, Stacy of Russell, PA., Mark A. Cronmiller of White Lake, MI., Jim Fehlman and wife, Janet, Janet Peters and husband, Jon, David Fehlman and wife, Sandy all of Youngsville, PA., Karen Lindell of Lander, PA., Matt Fehlman and wife, Kristin of Youngsville, PA., 1 Brother – Jeff Cronmiller and wife, Toni of Cleveland, OH., 1 Sister – Mary Jo Masterson of Sykesville, MD., 20 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. and on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Mausoleum of the Ascension in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Warren, PA.
