Patricia L. Dawley, 90, of Smethport, PA
Patricia L. Dawley, 90, of Smethport, went to be with her Lord on Monday (December 9, 2024).
She was born August 8, 1934 in Richburg, NY the daughter of Charles W. and Maude C. (Edmiston) Billsborough . On August 14, 1954, in Rixford, PA, she married Kenneth R. Dawley, who died August 26, 2013. They were married for 69 years.
Mrs. Dawley was a graduate of Otto-Eldred High School in 1953. She lived the majority of her life in the Smethport, PA area.
She worked for Dresser Manufacturing, J.C. Penney Co., Stone’s Manor, and for the majority of her working years as Dr. Fritz Guenter’s bookkeeper and receptionist.
Pat loved being involved in her church. She sang in the choir, played piano and organ, helped with Bible School and with church dinners. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, canning, painting by color, crosswords, search-a-words and other crafts. She was very artistic and creative. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Coleville Christian Gospel Church.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Janet (Tod) Kervin, her son, Henry (Tina) Dawley. She has four grandchildren, Robert (Katie) Kervin of Houston, TX, Aleta (Bill) Cole of Florence, SC, Heather (Jason) Snyder of Smethport, and Stacey (Kevin) Berceli of Edinboro, PA. She also has nine great grandchildren, Haley Snyder, Jorja (Thomas) Borne, Emily Snyder, Alexis Berceli, Ella Cole, Ryley Cole, Amelia Kervin, Eloise Kervin and George Kervin.
In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Billsborough, brother Kermit Billsborough, and a sister, Janet Spiegel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 13, from 10AM-12 Noon at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral services will begin after visitation at 12 Noon with the Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Private interment with family will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
