Patients to receive Thanksgiving meal at BRMC
BRADFORD, PA – Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC), a member campus of Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS), is bringing some holiday cheer to the patients who cannot be home with their families on November 23 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
For those who will be patients at BRMC as well as residents at the Pavilion on Thanksgiving Day, the hospital will offer a festive holiday meal. In addition, patients also receive a complimentary meal for an invited guest to dine with them on Thanksgiving Day. Additional guests may purchase a holiday dinner for $5.40.
“I always love this time of year and being a part of this meal program for our patients. Spreading joy and improving our overall patient’s experience is really important to us,” said Julie Becker, general manager, food and nutrition services. “It’s tough being away from family and friends during the holidays. We hope that through this small gesture our patients’ Thanksgiving will be more pleasant.”
The Thanksgiving meal will consist of a choice of entrée, roast turkey or baked ham with gravy, cornbread dressing, candied sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie as well as meet any dietary requirements for each patient. The program is also being offered for inpatients at the Olean campus.
