Kathleen M. Clark, 89, of 149 Neubert Street, St. Marys, passed away with her family by her side Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at her residence.
She was born February 21, 1933, in Emporium, daughter of the late Thomas and Julia Hout Cleary. Kathleen was a graduate of Emporium High School, Class of 1950, and had been a resident of St. Marys since 1959.
On January 22, 1955, in St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Emporium, Kathleen married the late Walter J. Clark, who preceded her in death on February 10, 2000. They were blessed with 45 years of marriage.
Kathleen is survived by three daughters: Nancy McAninch of Johnsonburg, Mary Jo Caggiano (Barry) of Ridgway, and Julia Gornati (David) of Kersey; two sons: James C. Clark of St. Marys and John J. Clark of Rathbun, PA; 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Kevin, Sarah, Nathan, Lindsay, Nick, Jesse, Alex, John, Gina, and Paul; five great-grandchildren: Bryce, Bentley, Bria, Walter, and Maisy; her sister, Mary Laughlin (James) of Emporium; and by her brother, Thomas Cleary of Emporium.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Laura Clark; and by her son-in-law, William McAninch.
Kathleen was an active member of the Sacred Heart Church. She volunteered for the bereavement luncheons, baked for the parish bake sales, helped to maintain the church as the “heavenly duster”, and was a member of the St. Anne’s Society. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose home was warm and welcoming to all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Thomas Curry, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

UPMC Offers Nurse Aide Training Course in Wellsboro
February 8, 2023 – Starting Friday, Feb. 10, UPMC will be accepting applications for the free nurse aide training course offered at The Green Home, a part of UPMC Senior Communities, located at 37 Central Ave., Wellsboro.
This paid, intensive seven-week training program provides prospective nurse aides the opportunity to spend three weeks in classroom-based training, and then transition to a four-week orientation at The Green Home. Participants actively learn the skills and knowledge needed to become a nurse aide while earning an income and are guaranteed a position with The Green Home upon successful completion.
Enrollment is open until Thursday, March 9. Classes for this upcoming session run from Friday, April 10 to Wednesday, May 1. Future classes are also scheduled with enrollment periods coming up in April and October.

Fresh Ideation Food Group LLC of Baltimore, MD is recalling products sold from January 24, 2023 through January 30, 2023 because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
Products have been distributed in Connecticut, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. Recalled Products were sold in retail locations, vending machines, and during travel with transportation providers.

Angelica & Almond Respond to Rollover Overnight

At 03:23 this morning we were dispatched along with MTS Ambulance and Almond Fire to I-86 West Bound near MM116 in the Town of West Almond for a tractor trailer rollover. Upon our arrival we found the driver still in the cab, firefighters removed the windshield and assisted him out. The driver was looked at by the ambulance crew but denied injury or transport to the hospital. Our units were back in service about an hour later. Responding to the scene were Angelica 2, 7, and 50, Almond 6 and 502, MTS 805, AL-51, the NYS Police, and the NYS DOT.
Penn State Extension will be offering in person Food Safety Training for Producer Growers in Northwestern, Pennsylvania.
