Closures: The library will be closed on Friday, March 29th, and Saturday, March 30t for the holiday weekend. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday, April 2nd.

Gertrude Hawk Candy Bar Sale: The library is selling Gertrude Hawk candy bars in various flavors. Stop at the library or Sprout’s Drug Store and get some today!

Gertrude Hawk Easter Candy Fundraiser: Candy is being shipped to us the week of March 11th. We will announce, or call when orders are ready to be picked up.

Quart Soup Sale Pick-Up & Bake Sale: Soup orders will be ready for pick-up on Saturday, March 9th, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. The library will also be holding a bake sale that day. Stop in and grab some goodies!

Jellybean Guessing Game: March 1st through the 27th, children aged up to 11 years old can stop in at the library to guess how many jellybeans are in the container! The closest guess will win the jellybeans, which will be announced on Wednesday, the 27th. We have one game going for the boys and another going for the girls.

Homeschool Hangout: We are starting a new program at the library for homeschoolers! On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, we will have a Homeschool Hangout. Our goal for this program is to give homeschool families in the area a chance to get together to see what other families are learning, incorporate the library into some of those lessons, and have fun. We hope this is something that you are interested in attending and will be a benefit for you. The dates for this month are March 6th and 20th.

Scarlet Lily Easter Centerpiece Class: Join us on Tuesday, March 12th at 6:00 pm at the OV Senior Center for an Easter Centerpiece Class. Design and take home a floral centerpiece for your holiday table, to give to a hostess, or as a gift for a loved one. “Daycare” Story Hour: The library will have a story hour on Friday mornings from 10:00 am – 10:30 am for any children aged 3-5. Please call or stop in at the library if you plan on attending so we can plan accordingly for a craft/game after the story. 814-697-6691.

The Book Discussion Group meets at the library on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. The date for this month is March 14th. All are invited to participate. Books are provided by the Potter-Tioga Library System.

Stitch Together: Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting, needlework, and chatting while you work? (Or chatting and not getting much of your project done?) Join us with your current projects on Thursday, March 7th and 21st from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm and Saturday, March 2nd from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm.
