NORTHWEST BANK SUPPORTS UNITED WAY’S 2024 CAMPAIGN
Elk County, PA – Brooke Meyer, Financial Center Manager; and Casey Towne, Financial Center Assistant Manager of Northwest Bank recently presented a generous donation to Doug Bauer, Vice President of the St. Marys Area United Way, and Leah Whiteman, a United Way board member.
This contribution will support the United Way in achieving its 2024 fundraising goal of $220,000. Funds raised will be distributed as grants in 2025 to local nonprofit organizations that provide vital services to the community.
The St. Marys Area United Way allocates grants to organizations meeting the following criteria:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
- Service area within the St. Marys Area School District
- Programs focused on health and human welfare
- Registration with the PA State Bureau of Charitable Solicitation or exemption
Eligible organizations are encouraged to apply for a 2025 grant by calling 814-781-6000 or visiting www.smauw.org to download an application. The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2024, and grant recipients will be announced in early 2025.

- St. Marys Recreation and Parks
- St. Marys Area School District’s elementary library program
- Maintenance of the Eternal Flame on the Diamond in downtown St. Marys
