Nancy A. Fire, 74, of Bradford, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at her home.

She was born on February 22, 1951 in Bradford; the daughter of the late Frank and Christine Ross Fire.

She was a 1969 graduate of the former Bradford Central Christian High School.  She was a graduate of the Clarion University; where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. She had also earned her Master’s degree.

Nancy was an elementary school teacher for many years at the former West Branch Elementary School and later at School Street Elementary; where she retired from.

She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Current Events Club.  She was a member of the local school teacher’s union and she was very involved in local stage performances with the Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center.  She was also instrumental in ensuring that the Abbott Road area got the decorative street lights installed.

She is survived by one brother, Joseph (Donna) Fire of Warren; two nieces, Lisa (Anthony) Novelli of Bridgeville and Maria (Chris Demaggio) Fire of Burlington, VT; one nephew, Joey (Renata) Fire of Rockville, MD; seven great nieces and nephews and two great great-nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. James Gutting as celebrant.

Private burial will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
