            BRADFORD, PA / OLEAN, NY – Upper Allegheny Health System (UAHS), which is comprised of hospital campuses, Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), is excited to announce the February 2024 Star Award winners.

Dianna Carnegie, environmental services, received the BRMC February Star Award. She has worked at BRMC since 1988.

“Dianna is a very dedicated employee with everything she does for the organization. She is always pleasant with our patients, Pavilion residents, and staff. Dianna is known to be a great team player, completing everything with a smile on her face, even cleaning big messes without hesitation,” according to her nomination. “Dianna’s upbeat personality and willingness to help makes her a super special person and a tremendous asset to our team.”

Ken Hernandez, a food & nutrition department employee since 2022, was presented the February Star Award at OGH.

“Ken is always very courteous, efficient, and goes the extra mile to please customers in the café. Even under pressure, he is continuously friendly, helpful, and positive. Always with a smile on his face, Ken treats every single person, staff or guest, with warmth, respect, and professionalism. He is an excellent team player, covering other stations and duties when needed, prioritizing duties and demonstrating excellent time management skills,” according to his nomination. “Ken is a great asset to the café and an invaluable employee representing OGH.” The Star Award is presented monthly to an employee who demonstrates outstanding performance and inspires the same in others. Staff are nominated for exceptional customer satisfaction, continuous performance improvement, teamwork, communication, ownership/accountability and excellence through co-worker or patient nominations.
