Mildred M. Hale “beloved mother”
SHINGLEHOUSE, PA—Mildred M. Hale, 98, of Shinglehouse, formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a short illness.
Born on Friday, October 9, 1925, in Berks County, she was a daughter of John B. and Lydia Bean Miley. On October 24, 1954, in Norfolk, VA, she married Tommy D. Hale, who passed away on July 3, 2004.
Mrs. Hale was a seamstress in San Diego, California and later at Diane Manufacturing in Lebanon.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Darlene A. (Harold) Risser of Shinglehouse; and several loving nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Miley; and a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Moyer.
In keeping with Mildred’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral services. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Rehrersburg Cemetery in Rehrersburg (Berks County).
Mildred’s daughter entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
