Michael A. Singer, 85, of Brandy Camp Road, Kersey, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

He was born on March 3, 1939, in Kersey, PA, a son of the late Merle and Ramona Buttano Singer.

On May 6, 1961, at Maria Lutheran Church, he married the late Joye Anderson Singer, who preceded him in death on November 2, 2022. Together they shared more than 61 years of marriage.

Mike was a graduate of Kersey High School, class of 1957. He then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Airco-Speer after more than 40 years, and then worked at Lowe’s for more than 20 years in his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He is survived by two children; Robin Singer and his wife Virginia of Kersey, and Dale Singer and his wife Sherry of Goldendale, WA; and by four grandchildren; Eric Singer, Jeremy Heater, Zachary Heater, and Brittany March. He is also survived by two brothers; Craig Singer of Kersey and Mark (Rita) Singer of South Carolina, as well as by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter; Michele Singer on October 21, 2023 and by a brother; Jerry Singer.

Funeral Services for Michael A. Singer will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Krise Funeral Home, 339 Main St. Kersey, PA 15846 with Rev. Ron Burkett officiating.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Fox Township Burial Detail.

Burial will follow in the Ridge Cemetery in Kersey.

Visitation will be at the Krise Funeral Home in Kersey on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Fox Township Ambulance Association.
