Mary Ellen (Doane Snyder Dean) Boudreau, 87, of Pinellas Park, Florida
Mary Ellen (Doane Snyder Dean) Boudreau, 87, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away on December 17, 2023, in Vancouver, Washington.
She was born November 17, 1936, in Wellsboro to James Everett and Mary Estelle (Lyon) Doane. While finishing her studies at Wellsboro High School, she worked at the Penn Wells as a waitress and hostess. She married Floyd Snyder in 1954, who also worked at the Penn Wells. Subsequently she worked at the Tioga County Courthouse. They had one son, Kent.
She married Richard Dean in 1968, moved to Horseheads New York, expanded her family to include two daughters, Sandra and Bonnie Dean, and became a full-time homemaker. Beginning in the late 1970’s, she and Dick became snowbirds, spending winters on Florida’s west coast and eventually moving to Pinellas Park. Dick passed away in 1994.
In 1999, she married Charlie Boudreau. Charlie played the organ, painted, and enjoyed cooking. Mary Ellen embraced a new larger family that included Charlie’s four children and families. She enjoyed embroidering baby blankets for great-grandchildren. After a few years, Mary Ellen and Charlie settled in Pinellas Park at The Mainlands, where they participated in clubhouse activities and found a circle of friends who joined them on many cruises and bus trips.
Mary Ellen is survived by her son Kent and wife Marti Minnich, son-in-law Danny Woodard, grandson Robert Woodard, granddaughter Kelly and wife Jolene Woodard, grandson Nathan Snyder and fiancée Camila Montes de Oca, granddaughter Allison and husband Nate Strong, sisters-in-law Catherine and Dorothy Doane, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends across the country. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, brothers James and Frances Doane, sisters Ardell (Berg) Young and Catherine Doane, and daughters Sandra Woodard and Bonnie Dean.
The family sincerely thanks staff of Bonaventure at Salmon Creek and PeaceHealth Hospice for the care and comfort they provided Mary Ellen during her final days.
