Mary Delores Wood, age 90, of Elkland, PA passed away at her home on November 18, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family. Mary has gone home to be with Jesus.

Born on October 31, 1933 in Troy, PA, she was a daughter to the late John and Mildred (Peters) Wills. Mary married Charles Wood and they spent several loving years before his passing in May 2011. 

She worked at American LA France for a handful of years while raising her family alongside her husband.

Mary loved talking about her childhood; from spending days on Armenia Mountain to when she lived in Maine with her family. She enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV and listening to his music, spending time with her family, and taking her children and grandchildren to Lyman Run State Park. Mary loved sunbathing when she had the chance and animals; watching cardinals in her backyard was a favorite pastime. 

Mary is survived by her children: Diane Wood (Dennis Kralick) of Mansfield, Peggy (Bob) Jackson of Mainesburg, PA, Debbie Heilman of Elkland and Chuck Wood of Mansfield; grandchildren: Laurie (Carl) Smith of Maine, Wendy (Bob) Darrow of Mansfield, Angela (Mark) Hoff of Westfield, Carrie Wood of Elmira, NY, Shannon (Kevin) Rodgers of Tioga, Timothy (Kelly) Merrick of Virginia Beach, Ben (Stacey) Rodgers of Millerton, Ashely (Adam) Walsh of Albuquerque, NM, Danielle (Jonah) King of Watsontown, PA and Paige Wood of Watsontown, PA; 21 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; brother: John Wills of Deltona, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; loving husband: Charles Wood; son: Delos Wood; great-grandchildren: Dakota West, Cameron Copley and Kanisha Wood; identical twin sister: Janice Crandle and her husband: Jim Crandle; sister: Vera Wills; and sister-in-law: Betty Wills.

Per Mary’s wishes, no services are to be held.
