Marilyn (Miller) Snyder, 82, of Westfield, PA
Marilyn (Miller) Snyder, 82, of Westfield, PA passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro.
She was born May 1, 1942, in Bloomsburg, PA to Myron and Dorothy Miller. She earned her RN, and worked at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville where she was the head nurse in the Urology Department.
On May 28, 1969, she married Sidney Homer Tobias Snyder with whom she shared 28 years of marriage. They moved to Westfield for retirement, but after Sidney’s death, Marilyn went back to work as a nurse at Soldiers and Sailors.
Marilyn loved to hunt and fish and watch the animals out her windows. She was a gifted quilter and enjoyed crocheting, but most of all she was devoted to her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Marilyn is survived by a daughter: Lori (Leonard) Bogutskie of Painted Post, NY, four grandchildren: Shane (Amy) Martz, William (Heather) Martz, Kimberly (Joshua) Lipko, and Ethan Bogutskie; and six great-grandchildren: Kenna Martz, Jase Lipko, Ava Lipko, Joanna Lipko, Blakely Martz, and Braylon Martz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a stepson: Jeffrey Snyder.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901. There will be a private service held at the convenience of her family.
