Marilyn J. Vecellio, 91, formerly of 134 Williams Street, Bradford, PA passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Born October 15, 1931, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Eugene W. and Anna (Johnson) Bond. She graduated from Bradford High School in 1949.
On May 7, 1955, in the Our Mother of Perpetual Help she married Ernest J. “Ernie” Vecellio who preceded her in death on April 25, 2007.
Marilyn worked at McCourt Label before joining Bell Telephone where she worked as a Senior Operator and Desk Clerk. In retirement she worked at Star Garage for the Bryner Family, for the Fashonality Dress Shop and as the receptionist for Lisa’s Hairport.
Marilyn was a member of St. Bernard Church, and she enjoyed bowling.
Surviving are two sons, David (Donna) Vecellio, of Hernando MS, and Jeffrey (Lori) Vecellio, of Bradford, three grandchildren, Morgan Fowler, Daniel Vecellio and Katrina Vecellio, two great-grandchildren, Kaleb Fowler, and Liam Brink, one sister, Gloria (Jack) Hanson, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernie, three sisters, Phyllis Pingie, Lorraine Bentley, and Dolores Hoffman, and one brother, Wally Bond.
Family will receive friends on Sunday August 6, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm and again from 10:00 am to 10:30 am on Monday at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., followed by funeral services 10:30 AM with Fr. Jim Gutting, officiating. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Pavilion at BRMC, Futures Inc., No Feline Left Behind, or the Bradford Public Library.
