Margaret A Anderson, 96, of Kane, PA passed away on August 18, 2023 at the Lutheran Home of Kane in Kane, PA.  

She was born on August 19, 1926 in Ludlow,  to the late George and Anna (Baronak) Kisko. She attended grade school in Curwensville, PA and graduated from Ludlow High School in 1944.

On August 18, 1950 she married Sherwood Anderson, who preceded her in death, at the St. Callistus Church.

She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked at Holgates for some time and was a member of St. Callistus Church where she taught CCD for several years.  She was also a volunteer at the Lutheran Home at Kane.  She had served as the Majority Inspector of Elections in the Second Ward of Kane for many years.

Margaret is survived by two daughters, Sherilyn Weiser of RI and Susan Katsotis of Canaveral, FL; son, John Anderson of Kane, PA; three granddaughters, Bethany (Andrew) Sullivan, Ashlyn (Chris) Jonda and Alexa Anderson; two grandsons, Michael (Kate) Weiser and Nickolas Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Carter Sullivan and Finley Sullivan; a sister-in-law, Laurea Kisko and nephew, Steve Kisko .

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Kisko, and her son-in-law, Ronald Weiser.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday (Aug. 19)  at the St. Callistus Catholic Church, with the Rev. William O’Brien as celebrant.

Burial took place in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the St Callistus Church.
