Lucille “Lucy” Gleason Boysha, 98, of Barden Brook Road, Eldred, PA
ELDRED, Pa. – Lucille “Lucy” Gleason Boysha, of Barden Brook Road, passed away Sunday (Nov. 5, 2023) at the Lake View Senior Care in Smethport.
Born July 6, 1925, in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Edwin Z. and Polly E. Shreve Fisk. In 1942, she married Charles Gleason, who predeceased her. On April 26, 2008, she married James P. Boysha, who predeceased her Nov. 11, 2014.
Lucy worked at various factories in the area including the former munitions plant in Eldred, Acme Electric Co. and the Olean Tile Plant.
She was very active over the years with various organizations including having been past president of the Olean VFW Auxiliary and was a life member of various posts of the American Legion Auxiliary. She also was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Auxiliary in Olean and a life member of the St. Stephens Club Auxiliary. Additionally, she was a former member of the Eagles Club Auxiliary in Olean and was a past president of the “Cooties” social club while a resident of New Jersey.
Lucille, known as “Sisa” to her sister Phyllis, will be remembered for her love, beautiful smile and wit. She loved her with her whole heart, so this loss is painful. She is assuredly walking with God and her two wonderful husbands. “That’s my Lucy.”
She is survived by one sister, Phyllis (Ted) Schweikart of Eldred; one brother, Theodore Fisk of Akron, N.Y.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands Charles, and James, she was predeceased by one daughter; four sons; eight brothers; two sisters; and one sister-in-law.
Friends will be received from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2023) at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road, Olean, N.Y. A funeral service will begin at 5 p.m. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery.
