Louis F. Monti, 89, formerly of 1216 East Main Street, Bradford

Louis F. Monti, 89, formerly of 1216 East Main Street, Bradford, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Brevillier Village in Harborcreek.
Born on September 20, 1935, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rena (Zandi) Monti. Lou was a 1954 graduate from Bradford High School.
On January 14, 1955, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in January of 1955, he served 11 months overseas and was honorably discharged on December 1, 1958, with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
On July 7, 1962, in the St. Gregory Church in North East, he married Angela J. (Mobilia) Monti.
He attended University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and St. Bonaventure University.
Lou worked for Corning Class and later Dale Electronics. He was Supervisor of Planning and head of the Melting Department. He retired with 38 years of service.
Lou was a member of St. Francis Of Assisi Church, where he served on the parish council and receive
d the Knight of St. Gregory Award from the Erie Diocese. He was on the Bradford Central Christian High School Financial Committee and School Trust. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #403, a 3rd Degree Knight, and received the Knight of the Year Award.
Lou was a volunteer at BRMC in the Radiology Department as well as a volunteer maintenance man for St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife Angela, of 63 years, are four daughters, Anne (Jeff) Hardy, of Bradford, Lisa (Kevin) Cavallero, of Titusville, FL, Amy (John) Vleminckx, of Bradford, Stephanie (Brian) Makin, of North East, one sister, Joie Aimone, of Barnegat, NJ, nine grandchildren, Joe (Courtney) Hardy, Emily (Dan) Kline, Monica Cavallero, Marisa Cavallero, Christiana Cavallero, Zachary (Haley) Vleminckx, Mitchell Vleminckx, Joshua Makin and Elise Makin and one great grandchild Livie Vleminckx and several nieces and nephews.
Lou was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Charles Aimone.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from Noon to 1:30 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm in St. Bernard Church with Rev. John Jacquel, Pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
