Lorraine Doris Dworsky, 95, of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, and formerly of First Avenue, Johnsonburg, PA.
Lorraine Doris Dworsky, 95, of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys and formerly of First Avenue, Johnsonburg, passed away Thursday morning, August 15, 2024, at Pinecrest Manor following a brief illness. She was born on August 31, 1928, in Johnsonburg, a daughter to the late Steven and Violet Yeager Dworsky.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Doris was a 1946 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church where she had been a member of the Funeral Luncheon Committee. She had retired from Stackpole Corp. in St. Mays after many years of service.
Lorraine and her quiet life at the homestead on First Avenue were the glue that kept the family together. You would often find her gazing out the front window there, whenever you would stop by. She would host all out-of-town family members there for any-and-all occasions and holidays. She had an infectious laugh and humble outlook on life that were an admirable lesson for all, and she also made you realize that the simple things in life were enough for happiness. She was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
Lorraine is survived by her sister Lois Czekai (Robert) of Rush, NY, two God-Children Mark Jacobs and Lisa Dworsky, as well as many other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her longtime companion Richard “Dick” Kellar of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brothers James, Robert, Richard, who was Robert’s twin, in infancy and Thomas, sisters Mary Ann (John) Plewick, Millie (Gail) Sarginger, Constance Dworsky, Dorothy (Earl) Jacobs and Barbara (Neil) Daugherty and a very special niece Barbara (Jacobs) Jordan.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service for Lorraine Doris Dworsky to be conducted at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg, on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 11 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday morning from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM.
