Lillian M. Wondrack

Lillian M. Wondrack, 71, of Shinglehouse, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in the Olean General Hospital,  Olean, NY, after a long illness.

Born on Wednesday, January 14, 1953 in New Jersey, she was a daughter of Edward R. and Helen Virginia Watts Wondrack.

Lillian earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado.  She earned her Master’s Degree in Chemistry from San Diego State University.  She was employed as a biochemist for Pfizer until her retirement.

She operated her self-established cat sanctuary, Know Place Like Home and was a volunteer for PCAAP (Potter County Animal Assistance Project).

Surviving are a sister, Janet A. Healy of Shinglehouse; a niece, Connie J. (Kayle) Perkins of Shinglehouse; a nephew, Aidan Healy of Shinglehouse; and a grandniece, Rubianne M. Perkins.

Lillian was predeceased by her parents.

In keeping with Lillian’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

Lillian’s family entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
