Dear Editor:

The person representing NY-23 in Congress recently published a statement about the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling affecting the 2024 election. 

That statement was, I thought, a bit incendiary, employing words such as “abuse” and “assault” and I worried that people might tune into the dog-whistling and become riled by what he said.

So, I fixed it.

Today’s unprecedented Colorado Supreme Court decision is pure partisan election interference. The abuse of our justice system to obstruct President Trump’s widely-supported re-election campaign is a blatant assault on exemplifies blind justice — the very pillar of our system of government.  disenfranchising millions of voters in the process. This outrageous ruling cannot be allowed to stand,will likely be appealed and work its way through the courts as our laws provide.  and we will not be silent.  As patriotic Americans, we must calmly and patiently await the outcome and accept it when it comes.
