Kenneth Prouty, age 91, of Gaines, PA, entered the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Sheila’s Personal Care Home in Mansfield, PA.

He was born on February 17, 1933 in Watrous, PA, the son of Harold and Margaret (Fuller) Prouty. He owned and operated Kenshire Kampsite and was a member of Valley Alliance Church in Wellsboro, PA. Kenneth was also a member of The Gideon’s and Roving Volunteers in Christ’s Service (RVICS). He enjoyed restoring John Deere tractors.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Sylvia Prouty of Gaines, PA, Rhonda Bryington of Gaines, PA, Wayne Prouty of Galeton, PA, and Bradley (Sharon) Prouty of Mansfield, PA; fifteen grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several step-children and step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley; second wife, Geraldine; two sisters, Catherine Butler of Wellsboro, PA, and Jean Prouty of Hershey, PA.

Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and Monday, March 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Valley Alliance Church, 4858 Route 6, Wellsboro, PA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Bradley Prouty and Pastor Darryl Eyler officiating.
