Kenneth “Kenny” Kneidel, 61, of St. Marys, PA.
Kenneth “Kenny” Kneidel, 61, of St. Marys passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Thursday, October 19, 2023, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer.
He is survived by his parents, Gladys and Jack Kneidel; two daughters, Rachael (Adam) Brink, and Kathleen Kneidel; two grandchildren, Owen and Quinn Brink; life partner, Sandy Eckert; four siblings, Ralph (Janine) Kneidel, Marsha (Guy) Zahumensky, Alan (Shannon) Kneidel, and John (Kara) Kneidel; eight nieces and nephews, Amanda Zahumensky, Samantha Cunningham, Nick Kneidel, Isabella Kneidel, Luke Kneidel, Gina Kneidel, John Kneidel, and Mitchell Kneidel; and his partner’s children who were just like family, Gina (Jim) Brem and Kurt (Ashley) Eckert, and their daughter, Charley. He is preceded in death by his nephew Timothy Zahumensky.
Kenny was born on October 7, 1962 in St. Marys, PA. He graduated from Elk County Christian High School in 1980 and worked at Osram Sylvania for most of his career.
He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was golfing, doing yard work, shooting trap and skeet, splitting wood, or just spending time outside at home. There was no harder worker than Kenny and he took great pride in the tasks he undertook. Perhaps the true reflection of his work ethic was the way he made his house into an inviting home. For Kenny, his house was a labor of love, and it reflected his character – resilient, hardworking, and filled with a sense of pride in everything he did.
Kenny led a rich and fulfilling life playing cornhole with the Titan Cornhole Club, spending time with his grandchildren, working on projects alongside his father, and offering his carpentry expertise to family and friends. Despite his untimely loss, he made the most of the time he had.
A visitation will be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 10:00AM with the Rev. Thomas More Sikora, OSB, celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
