KEN WALDMAN & THE SNAPPIN’ BUG DUO TO PERFORM AT THE DEANE CENTER ON FRIDAY, APRIL 4

For 25 years, Ken Waldman has toured North America as Alaska’s Fiddling Poet, combining Appalachian-style string-band music with smart poetry and Alaska-set storytelling.
On Friday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. Waldman will be joined in the Coolidge Theatre at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro by favorite accompanists, The Snappin’ Bug Duo, Mark Tamsula and Barbara Rosner from Pittsburgh.
Tamsula and Rosner are multi-instrumentalists who specialize in Pennsylvania fiddle tunes collected by noted Penn State musicologist, Samuel Bayard.
Expect an evening of inspiration and surprise that will include rowdy twin fiddle breakdowns, sweet original waltzes, clawhammer banjo, and rare Pennsylvania fiddle tunes, all intertwined with Ken Waldman’s storytelling and poetry.
Waldman & The Snappin’ Bug Duo will be ushering in National Poetry Month being celebrated April 1 through April 30 as they transport the audience from beautiful Tioga County to the real Alaska through music and words on April 4.
