Port Allegany, PA — Karl Eugene “Buzzy” Grupp, 73, of Port Allegany, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Olean General Hospital in Olean, New York.

He was born February 22, 1953, in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, the son of Karl Ernst and Elizabeth (Neefe) Grupp.

Buzzy was a 1972 graduate of Coudersport High School. He worked for many years at Pure Carbon, now Morgan AMT, in Coudersport until his retirement.

He proudly served his community as a past Assistant Chief and life member of the Coudersport Fire Department and also served as an EMT with the Coudersport Ambulance. Buzzy loved his family and cherished spending time with them. He also enjoyed being outdoors.

He is survived by his longtime companion of 37 years, Corilynn Kio, with whom he resided in Port Allegany; his daughter, Amanda L. Grupp of Florida, and her son, Brysen; and his son, Ryan K. (Cassidy) Grupp of Coudersport, and their son, Joel. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Brandi Kio of Roulette; two stepsons, Aaron “A.J.” Mahon and Dustin Mahon, both of Port Allegany; eight step-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Buzzy was preceded in death by one brother.

There will be no visitation or services held at this time.
