Judith A. Shelley, 80, of East Water Street, Smethport, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, surrounded by her niece, grandniece, and great grandniece, at the Bradford Manor.

Judith was born on her family’s farm in Farmers Valley, on May 5, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Ida (Leet) Shelley. She was a 1962 graduate of Smethport High School.

Judy worked at AVX in Olean NY for many years, prior to her retirement. 

She loved living at the family farm and the many animals they had. Judy enjoyed watching western movies, attending country music concerts, auctions, and Rep. Martin Causers Senior Expo’s. She participated in a Thursday Prayer Group and always loved to have her hair and nails done weekly.

Surviving is one sister, Patricia Meyer, of Erie, and many nieces and nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, and one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth R. (Wanda) Shelley.

At Judy’s request there will be no public services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the SPCA, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
