Judith A. Punk, 83, of Ohio Ave. in James City, PA passed away Tuesday morning at her residence.
She was born in Kane on Sept. 29, 1939, the daughter of the late Harold and Doris (Johnston) Erickson. On Oct. 10, 1959 she married George Punk, who preceded her in death.
Judy owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Red Hats and the Polka club.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Bagbey of Virgilina, VA; two sons, Bryan (Vicki) Punk of James City and Joe (Sandy) of Kane; five grandchildren, Michael (Hannah) Punk, Melissa (Ryan) Smith, Joey (Brandy) Bagbey, Justin (Samantha) Bagbey and Jessica (Luke) Griles; several nieces and nephews, including Zonya (Matt) Letson who resided with her; one brother, Paul Erickson of Texas; six adopted grandchildren, Jimmy (Monica) Weaver, Anthony (Julie) Gentile, Sherry Marconi, Tara (John) Fodor, Whitman Letson and Charlie Letson; seven great-grandchildren, Madilyn Bagbey, Kenna Punk, Josie Griles, Nolan Punk, Addison Smith, Savannah Bagbey and Jase Griles; thirteen adopted great-grandchildren, Lola, Claire and Charlie Weaver, Joey, Vince, Addy and Cecelia Gentile, Gina, Ella and Audri Marconi and Jonathan, Clara and Will Fodor; and her lifelong friends Corrine Varga and Linnea Funari.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation which will take place on Friday (Feb. 3) at the Gathering Space at St. Callistus from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. William O’Brien as celebrant. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at St. Callistus Cemetery.
