Jonathan G. Moore, 74, of Salamanca, NY died at home on Monday (April 10, 2023) following a short illness.

Born June 5, 1948 in Olean, he was the son of the late Arthur H. Moore. He was married in Crosby, Pa., in 1978, to the former Terrie L. Ream, who survives.

He attended Austin High School, Austin, Pa.

Jonathan had owned and operated J&M Contracting, Olean, for over 30 years, retiring in 2012.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking and watching professional football and baseball. He was an avid traveler who enjoyed collectables as well as listening to music.

Surviving are two daughters, Julie (Todd) Doud of Randolph and Shannon Moore of Olean; four sons, Matthew (Neola) Moore of Smethport, Pa., Daniel Moore and David (Marie) Moore, both of Olean, and Butch Jones of Columbia, Mo.; seven grandsons; a granddaughter; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Ladonna Gustafson and Ramona Wagner, both of Mexico, Mo.; three brothers, Kenny Moore of Omaha, Neb., Bernie (Jodi) Moore and Richard Jones, both of Columbiana Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Debbie Peterson; and two brothers, Charlie Moore and Donavan Moore.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
