Jon Ransom, 66, of 874 High Street, Bradford

Jon Ransom, 66, of 874 High Street, Bradford, passed away peacefully with his wife Judy, his sister Janet, and Pastor Barry via phone by his side on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Health Center in Erie.
Born on January 8, 1959, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Robert Ransom and Margaret A. (Young) Ransom, who survives. He was a 1976 graduate from Bradford High School.
On May 29, 1998, he married Judy (Baney) Ransom, who survives.
Jon was a cook at the Pennhills Club for 15 years. He loved being outdoors, along with camping and meeting new campers while playing Hospitality. He also loved to cook and enjoyed getting creative with cooking outdoors. Jon also loved to play golf, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Go Bills!
Surviving is one daughter, Jamie Ransom, of Bradford, one son, Jason Ransom, of Andover, NY, one step son, Brandon Baney, of Bradford, one sister-in-law, Becky Matthews, of Bradford, one bestest friend, Bev McCormick, of Bradford, four sisters, Lori (Jeff) Vecellio, of Bradford, Janet (Mike) Erickson, of Bradford, Joyce (Rick) Blake, of Bradford, Margaret (Dell) Schoonover, of Bradford, one brother, Gary “Rusty” Ransom, of Bradford, five grandchildren, Jared, Jessie, Jayden, Claire, Zayden, and several nieces and nephews, and one loving furbabie Lucie Lou, papa’s girl.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the Grace Lutheran Church, 79 Mechanic St., Bradford, where at 3:00 pm, a Celebration of Life will begin.
