John W. Dippold, Jr., 83, of 507 N. St. Marys Street, St. Marys, passed away with his family by his side Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born August 17, 1941 in St. Marys, son of the late John W. and Jeanne Smith Dippold. He was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1959, and owned JWD Associates as a manufacturer’s representative for many companies.
John is survived by his children: Tami Krucke (Douglas) of St. Marys, John Dippold III (Jeanne) of St. Marys, Jennifer Beimel (Mike) of St. Marys, Michael Dippold (Jennifer) of St. Marys and their mother, Doris Bond (Dana) of St. Marys as well as daughters, Brooke Herzing of Michigan and Jocelyn Herzing of Chicago and their mother, Diane Herzing of DuBois; eleven grandchildren: Devin Bauer, Ryan Krucke (Lizzie), Brenden Krucke, Kristin Yankauskas (Jake), Jonathan Dippold (Carson), Bradley Dippold, Michael Beimel, Nathan Beimel, Lauryn Dippold, Joseph Dippold, and Kasper Herzing; one great-grandchild, David Bauer; three sisters: Diane Bobzin of Pennsylvania, Nancy Haberberger (George) of New York , and Copper Mullaney (Michael) of St. Marys; four brothers: Erich Dippold (Sandy) of St. Marys, Kris Dippold (Valerie) of St. Marys, Bob Dippold of St. Marys, and Jim Dippold (Susan) of Wilcox; his significant other of many years, Chris Whitaker of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Dippold.
John found great pleasure in nature. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, taking trips out west to hunt and Canada to fish. He was proud to be the caretaker of the St. Marys Sportsmen’s Club, where he took care of the property from 2010 until 2024. He was a former Exalted Ruler for the Elks Club on two separate occasions and was a proud member of the St. Marys Area High School’s undefeated football team from 1957-59. Although he found enjoyment in many things, there was nothing more special to John than the times he spent with his family, whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM.
A private funeral service for the family will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 169 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 on Saturday, March 1, 2025 following the public visitation with Rev. Jeffery Noble, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
